I decided to end my trip in Indianapolis. The storms have caught up with me and I will basically be riding in the rain the last 500 miles home. That doesn’t sound like fun to me. Also I am tired and my Parkinsons is taking a lot out of me. I intend to write a blog specifically on the affects of bike riding on Parkinsons soon. It might surprise you if you have read any of the medical journals on the subject.

Anyway, I rode through Poland after last blogging to you all. And I met these nice girls…

They tried to be helpful and give me some directions to shorten my trip but it instead lengthened it by 20 miles and placed me on a more dangerous route. Remember folks that bicycling is way different than driving a car. Even though a route may be shorter in a car it does not always mean it is shorter on a bike as well. Sometimes what is longer for cars is shorter for bikes.

This guy I am told is Poland’s Mayor…

At this point I had rode in the rain all day to get to Poland and onto the town of Spencer where I met up with Big Foot and some of his friends…

I stayed in Spencer for the night due to the unexpected addition of 20 extra miles to Mooresville which I rode to the next day…

It is here in this town on the border of Indianapolis that my wife Addie picked me up and drove me home. However we did nearly follow the route I would have taken had I biked it. Here are the driving pictures from here on home…

Once home I rested up for a day then washed truck and gear and scheduled appointments with the Veterans Hospital for check-ups and started on much needed yard work.

I intend to post a few more blogs about the trip and share my reviews of a few places and my gear. So stay tuned 🙂
