Friday, September 8th, Addie and I road our trikes from home to Munising. Just shy of 50 miles. Then back home Saturday, September 9th. Round trip was just shy of 100 miles.

Addie arranged a campsite at Tourist Park Campground in Munising, Michigan. It was very clean, nice, and quiet. Even ran into other campers who knew me.

I slept great in my army bivy with a down quilt and on top of my awesome ultra lightweight Helinox cot. I used my homemade tarp made from Tyvec by my friend Nancy Machalk. She did a great job on it. I brought my ultra light camp chair and table also made by Helinox. I love their gear so far. As for Addie, I forgot to get a picture of her setup. She stayed in her 2 person tent without fancy cots or chairs.

The campsite was right on Lake Superior.

There were a few drivers not sharing the road and one truck driver that cut it a little to close, but overall, it wasn’t a bad trip.
