Then we set off  to hike some of the trail through the Graceland Highlands to see the wild ponies. I’ve seen them before but I really wanted Addie to see them too.

I had trouble hiking due to my parkinsons and my meds made it hard to breathe. Also the storms were growing. So we decided to stay at a state campground and do day hikes.

Before we left, we purchased a bunch of backpacking food and several pizzas and brought them to one of my favorite shelters on the AT (partnership shelter) and shared it all with the group of people who were staying there that night. We also dropped off a bunch of goodies at a Historic school on the trail for hikers to resupply their stomachs.
