Nim & Echo pretty kitties, General Tso has quite the red comb upon his head. Looks like that chicken roof run (although made of repurposed materials) is going strong ready for another winter. Like Doc always says, do it right the first time, doesn’t have to be pretty but sure has to be sturdy. Like the idea of those solar lights around the run area wonder if they can be mounted on the roof eave just to spy some nocturnal visitors out for a stroll or a night flight.
I have been meaning to move the solar lights to better places now that the raccoon watch is over. They were clustered there to ensure I could see to take the shot when needed. The chickens love their run when it is raining or snowing. I think it will last a few more years.
Hi Doc and Addie,
Been a while, today is my first visit to your website. If that chicken run gets too holey a couple of tarps could patch it up for the short term. I miss the daily videos, slide shows are not the same. Guess I’ll just have to deal with it. Here’s hoping this website works out great Best of luck, Cheers,
Bill
We have tar pitch we can use for small holes on the chicken run roof. So long as they are not to big. We can also add small pieces of scrap tin then tar them in place too… Thanks for stopping by.
