A few looks at what’s I’ve been up to.
I’ve been keeping the critters happy, and Gnarly among others, is also keeping Ryan’s chair warm (or my lap if I’m in the chair–Don’t worry Ryan, I’m giving Echo and Indy brushies, and Gnarly is definitely using my leg for a pincushion). We also had several rain storms with some dramatic clouds, and hail at least once. There are a few pictures of the area on jogs and walks with what the water levels look like, and a garter snake Kyle and I saw on a jog, as well as a look up the road by the snake. If I figure out how to add video, I might put a few short ones up with the hail and a few other things.
I’m pretty sure the bird is a Merlin, I spotted it on a bike ride past the old RV park we used to be staying at. I also replaced the screen and spline on the large bedroom window… Kyle had adjusted the opening a bit last fall during a late thunder storm when it was left open a bit, and he decided to use his claws to make it even easier for the breeze to get through. Since there weren’t a lot of critters around then or over the winter, it was a task put on the back burner, but this spring I had time, and have been opening the window a bit lately… and well, the a few days before I fixed it, I had wanted to open the window but spotted a wolf spider about 1 1/2 inches from toe to toe hanging out in a corner on the inside of the screen, outside of the inner glass window…so I didn’t open the window then. I have to say, resplining super simple in principle, but a lot more reluctant in practice! That poor spline tool thingy!
These are a few pictures in our yard of things coming up, there’s an early picture of emerging Mandrake (May Apple), some more pictures of the Jewel Weed seedlings, some pictures from a few walks with the dogs, and at two points, I spotted pheasants. There’s one peeking through our woods at one across the road, and then later, some in the neighbors field near our back field. The back field on was actually a male and 2 females that I spotted, but they all picture poorly. Of course, there’s tons of pictures of the dogs, and I think I’m missing a picture but I can’t think of it right now… well they say a picture is worth a thousand words, so you can probably come up with a few to describe any you see–oh hey, I remembered it. It’s a picture of what might be a really early tent caterpillar web-thingy forming, or something else like it.
Some pictures of the flowers along our jog route, and a few pictures around the yard.
And lastly, here’s someone some people might recognize from other videos… Three Ninety-Nine (for short, $3.99). He’s a woods dolphin I’m working to domesticate, and he’s learning to help around the place. (Ryan can tell you more about $3.99’s backstory).
Well, that’s all for now, hope everyone is doing well.
Awesome Addie.

Looks like plenty of silt in the creek. Look forward to the garden yield for 2017.

Might not be much to show since Addie is alone caring for things.
