I’ve been hiking some fast days lately. The trail is getting a lot easier now. I am entering the Shenanadoah National Forest today. Compared to the rest of the trail it’s getting flat 😀. The next 400 miles should be my easiest yet and fly by. Just to remind everyone, this hike is over 2200 miles total. I’m only 800 miles into it. Still have 1400 miles left. I hope to make it to Harper’s Ferry WVA before 4th of July. I want to go to Washington DC for the fireworks show. That is still 200 or so miles away though. 14 days to do 200 miles. Might not be able to make it. Still have fun though!
So here are my recent pictures…
What a great adventure! Just keep putting one foot in front of the other, glad you’ve had some interesting folks to speak to en route. If you can share and learn all the better. This kind of endeavor filled with insights and sometimes frustrations makes great cabin talk, sort of like the talents of Jack Palance, or Jean Shepherd–American Story Tellers.

Yeah lots have. I should know approximately how many when I reach Harper’s Ferry WVA in a few days. There we who registered will check in at the ATC. Half way mark. And they will be able to tell me how many have made it so far.
