So I have made it to Harper’s Ferry WVA and the weather is great!
I took two days to get here from Bears Den. The first day we hiked during the day and the next day we hiked starting at 4am to avoid a rain storm and high afternoon temperatures. Jordan stayed with me to Harper’s Ferry and her mother joined us for their remaining section hike into Pennsylvania.
There are a LOT of cool people on the trail at the moment.
Here are the pictures…
Enjoy the adventure of a lifetime, not many have accomplished this kind of experience, it’s a tribute to real survival skills, and homage to the great American Outdoors.

Have fun hiking!! Hope it’s not raining too much. Also hope the rebel bones and racoon ghosts aren’t keeping you up at night! Post (section) trail depression setting in… but hope you’re doing okay! Happy trails

How long was the actual hiking time for this section? Could it be done in one day, say 10 hours?

Just amazing how much ground you have covered. You letting the beard grow the entire trip?

It’s about 42 miles. So unless you are going super fast then 10hrs is a no. It took 2 days to do it for me. Average is about 2 days.

Sorry 42 miles is from Front Royal to Harper’s Ferry. Bears Den to Harper’s Ferry is 20.7 miles so 1.25 days for me to do Bears Den to Harper’s Ferry. and some people do it in one day.
