Today I hike from Pine Bluff campsite to Benchmark. Pete decided to quit along the way today and stopped just before we got to Benchmark. He found a spot at Twelve Mile Campsite. Then my wife came and picked him up after he found a ride to cell service.
I walked along the beach mostly for about 7.5 miles. I got a couple blisters from walking barefoot all that way on sand. But it was worth it for the pictures and videos I got and for the adventure.
Benchmark campsite is the first one I recognized from my trip in 2011 as all the others changed so much that they didn’t look at all the same. Here is where I hung my hammock in 2011. It was nice seeing the space still there. Here is a picture of it…
