Shenandoah National Park: Skyline Dr – Rain and Rainbows

Left Virginia Beach and went through the Shenandoah National Park, Skyline Drive, most of Friday. The overlooks had great views!

Got to do some Trail Magic! There were some hikers we saw resting before their final climb late in the day. We had extra Gatorade, water, snacks, and sandwich supplies to help them fuel up before their climb.

Went for a bike ride with a Spam shirt I got from some friends. The weather was AMAZING for a ride!

As the sun went down, the overlooks were even more fun to look out at. After sunset, we could see the lights from small towns at the bottom of mountains. We could see some stars in the sky too.

We hiked part of the trail too, but not very much. We had hoped to run into so hikers on the trail to give waters and Gatorade to.

Drove a lot today, but we got some fireworks along the way that I’m excited about. We’re close to Indianapolis, Indiana for the night.

Saw a halo around the sun after driving through heavy rain. That was pretty.

Finally saw a trike rack that I like, we’ll definitely be looking into this more later.

After stopping for gas and lunch, we heard a lot of grumbling from Addie. Her egg salad sandwich was not well furnished with egg salad, which is the part she was after.
