A good friend dropped Holly and I off at Lake of the Clouds, Porcupine Mountains this past Monday.

We stayed the night at the Union Bay campground with tents. They had a really cool book kiosk and a game room! They also have an awesome playground with lots of things to make you dizzy.

I had onion, potatoes, carrots, and steak to make a stew for the night before our ride.

Made a new friend on our way out of the Porcupine Mountains Tuesday morning. And he assured us good weather for our travels. Thank you Mr. Bear!

No flats this trip, but we did have to air up the tires coming out of the mountains.

We realized that we had forgotten my airmat, so Addie drove out to meet us at Bond Falls and drop it off. She didn’t stay because finding the campgrounds there had been a bit frustrating for her.

On the way to Marquette, we pasted the Yooper Tourist Trap which will appear in the next blog.

The last 8-10 miles had a nice down grade that let us go 30 mph for most of it.

The whole trip was roughly 200 miles and took us about 2.5 days.
