Thanks to all the donors and volunteers for helping to put on yet another great event. We had 325 people including participants and volunteers. We raised $457.35 to put towards the next events. We filled the back of Shannon Koponen’s car with can foods to give to St. Vinny’s food pantry in Gwinn which helps feed local families. Thanks to everyone we were able to provide safe, fun, and spooky thrills to our community. Hopefully we can continue for years to come and create even more fun events throughout the year.

What is the Sawyer Haunted Trail? When you arrive you register and head over to the hayride line. From there you will take a hayride through the woods about 3/4 of a mile filled with roaming monsters. Then you are dropped off and stroll on foot for a 1/2 mile down a spooky path. Should you make it, you hop back on the hayride and head out through more roaming monsters. We also pass out candy along the way. If you are brave enough to take candy from monsters that is. The event goes from 6pm to 9pm. Each adult donates $2 + 1 can food item, each child donates $1 + 1 can food item. Food is donated to local food pantry. Money pays for future events.

Please give a big thank you to the following people who helped make this a great event. If I forgot to add your name please let me know if you want to be added.

If you wish to donate to future events, you can do so by making a check out to “Sawyer Community Enrichment” and drop off with Ryan Lipinski. Or make a deposit at Honor Credit Union in Gwinn, account name “Sawyer Community Enrichment”. All donations go to K.I. Sawyer Community Events, Programs, and Projects.

Our next event coming up is Senior Santa where we give as many seniors as we can a gift bag delivered by Christmas eve by Santa and his crew. We also provide a whole Christmas experience to 12 families who could use some help. We need to raise $1500+ to make this happen. Keep a lookout for that announcement.
