I’m actually 5miles south of Stormville NY right now but I will be there tomorrow morning.
The trail has gotten better for now but the trail blazes are getting hard to find. NY needs a lesson on how to mark a trail. Mosquitoes are really bad here to. Addie sent me my hammock bug net and I get it tomorrow at the Stormville post office. Sorry my mosquito nemisis.

My Brother in Law lives in Great Barrington and was out hiking this past weekend and saw black bears. So beware at any rate… I grew up in the Berkshire County Stretch of the AT.. I hope you get through safe and enjoy the sites and scenes I grew up with.

I’m in Pittsfield MA at the moment. I’ve seen 8 bears since GA. I think I have about 5 weeks left till I reach Katahdan. This next 200 miles looks rough.
